coming closer

Its about 10 weeks into this project... and I am ready to get on to a new project, something that will whip up a bit faster.. I am very very pleased how things are coming along with the blanket thou and I think the special person who will get this as a gift will love it too... I have just finsihed section 3 round 23... There is light at the end of the tunnel ... I am nearing the end.. Must keep chugging along.. I have a dead line now... only 3 weeks left to finish....This can be done

Drive in Theater

We took the Kids for their first drive in theater movie....toy story 3.. we packed up the van and headed out with blankets and lawn chairs to sit under the stars.. Here are a few pictures of some blankets I have made

Animal Sightings

Tomorrow is Keegan's first birthday party... A year has flown by so fast... We have a  great party with family and friends planned for tomorrow.. I just finished his cake this morning.. Although this is not a "craft" It is creative and I do enjoy making each of the kids birthday cakes each year... Here are a few pictures of the cake and the cupcakes for the kids... The cup cake wrappers are from wilton and can be bought at micheals craft store..

details of the cake are the "grass" is coconut dyed green the dirt pathway is cookie crumble and the water just has sparkles on it to give it a shine...

This is an amazing pattern and I am making this for a very special person as a gift.. I am on section 3... I took a 2 week break to do my very vanna thanksgiving squares but i am thrilled that i finished those today and i can go full steam ahead on this again...I'll post pictures as each section is finished
