Caribbean swap for Keegan

My first square swap was the Caribbean themed swap on the vanna fan board.. We exchanged 9 inch squares... I've taken the squares and stitched them together with a single crochet. I've then boardered them with a single crochet, a round of double crochet skipping one stitch every 3, then a round of single crochet and a double crochet every 3rd stitched and then the final round was single crochet... This blanket is for Keegan
I'm really pleased how this turned out...

Not In love at all

Well Many many months ago I feel in love with this car coat pattern... I really really loved it and wanted to make it for myself.. I bought the book with the pattern in it.. For you and your home, Vanna's choice and I bought the yarn.. 9 skeins of lion brand thick and quick wool ease yarn at $70.00 and have been saving it for some time now.. I finally took the time to make the coast since it is getting cold here... It did work up quick and I followed the pattern to a T.. but in the end I do not like it at all.. There is too much yarn under the arm pit and it bunches up when your arms are at your side.. its very very heavy and wold be warm but heavy on your body.... ohh well.. lesson learned!!!
